Library

The Shady Hill Library is a bright and cozy space, welcoming students to engage in reading, research, and sharing stories. It showcases student artwork and projects, reflecting diverse learning experiences. With over 31,000 books and various databases, the library serves as a vital resource for students, faculty, and apprentice teachers. Through weekly classes and a strong independent reading culture, our library nurtures curiosity, critical thinking, and a passion for literature. Students collaborate, recommend books, pursue personal interests, and broaden their perspectives through reading.

    The Library is open during regular school hours.
  • + Loan Periods

    Students may check books out of the library beginning in Grade I.
    Grades I & II: loan period is one week and the check-out limit is four to five books
    Grades III & up: loan period is three weeks and the check-out limit is ten books
  • + Volunteer

    With hundreds of books checked out each week, the library relies on volunteers to help with shelving books. Whether you can spare a moment or prefer a regular schedule, we welcome your assistance. If you're interested in volunteering, please reach out to one of our friendly librarians!
