The Interscholastic Athletic program provides students with the opportunity to study a single sport in depth each season, with the goal of developing skills and teamwork while promoting good sportsmanship, school spirit, and fun. We keep our teams small, providing an appropriate athlete-to-coach ratio and allowing for considerable playing time in competitions. Our coaches, many of whom are Shady Hill teachers, strive to meet each student where they are in their athletic development. The program is available to all students in grades six through eight, with one season of competitive sports required each year as part of the curriculum.
INTERSCHOLASTIC OFFERINGS

Depending on the sign-ups each year, Shady Hill will break its teams into appropriate ability-based groupings. For all teams with tryouts, priority will be given to the upper-grade student if evaluated evenly with a lower-grade student.
