Shady Hill School Welcomes Dr. Daryl Wright as the New Assistant Head of School
Shady Hill School announced the appointment of Dr. Daryl Wright as its new Assistant Head of School, starting July 1.
With more than two decades of experience working as a teacher and administrator in K-12 schools, Dr. Wright brings a collaborative leadership style and deep experience. As Assistant Head of School, Dr. Wright will be responsible for the oversight of Shady Hill’s PreK-8 curriculum to strengthen the continuity of the student’s experience.
Throughout his career, Dr. Wright has been a transformational leader driven by challenge, committed to social justice, and to furthering excellence in education for all students. His academic and administrative career includes leadership positions such as principal, assistant principal, and dean of students in diverse environments including international schools, selective independent schools, and public school districts.
With a K-8 teaching license, a Master of Arts in Teaching, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, Dr. Wright is focused on developing systems of institutional excellence through an equity lens, and he is well-equipped to contribute to Shady Hill’s work on racial equity and justice. He is joining Shady Hill from the Meadowbrook School, where he is a fifth-grade teacher and coordinator of Meadowbrook School’s AISNE accreditation.
