Today was Middle School’s Social Justice Day! This day extends the work we do every day in every space at Shady Hill School as we embody our mission to “honor difference, challenge prejudice, and strive for racial and social justice.” This year’s theme “We is Greater than Me” featured 28 workshops, including Beyond All That Pink: Barbie, Nerd Culture and Inclusion, and Make Art Not War: Graffiti as Resistance. Students were encouraged to examine justice, incite action, elevate counternarratives, and highlight marginalized voices to expand our sense of belonging within the broader SHS community.
